Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards,
  • Lead project teams ensuring team performance aligns with project goals,
  • Manage the procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations,
  • Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial objectives are met,
  • Create and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans as necessary to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved,
  • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays, cost overruns, and safety issues,
  • Ensure all projects comply with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards, maintaining a strong focus on quality control throughout the project lifecycle,
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns to ensure stakeholder satisfaction,
  • Utilise construction management software to document project progress, track timelines, and generate accurate reporting, and
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental protection standards are maintained.

About you:

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in construction management/engineering,
  • 7+years commercial construction project management experience,
  • Experience managing $20-30mil projects or multiple concurrent $5-15mil projects,
  • Excellent programming skills,
  • A high level of commercial acumen,
  • Deep understanding of project complexities and a proven track record of managing them effectively,
  • Previous experience working on Defence projects not a pre-requisite, but highly desirable,
  • Construction White Card and current driver’s licence,
  • Technological competency (ideally Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Procore, Hammertech, Cubit),
  • Experience in leading, managing and motivating teams,
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels,
  • Professionalism and a willingness to share your expertise to elevate collective performance, and
  • A desire to grow and thrive within ICG Constructions' values and culture.
