We are seeking a skilled detail-oriented Utility Locator to join our team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct thorough utility locating surveys using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
- Interpret and analyze survey data to identify underground utilities and create detailed maps.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Mark and document utility locations accurately to assist construction crews and prevent damage.
- Provide clear and concise reports and recommendations based on survey findings.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in utility locating.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure a safe work environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
The successful applicant must have:
- Must be an experienced utility locator (Accredited preferred)
- Proficient in using utility locating equipment and tools such as GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar), electromagnetic locators, and utility mapping software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local utility codes, regulations, and safety practices.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
