1 year fixed term contractThe Digital Capabilities & Commercial Division is accountable to operate, maintain, and deliver digital capabilities for all AEMO. This includes strategic technology foresight and plans, delivery of digital change, operation of critical infrastructure, key internal stakeholder engagement as well as operation of all AEMO’s IT applications and services.
A Senior Tester would be involved in the planning, execution and delivery of testing across multiple projects related to WEM (Wholesale Electricity Market). This role requires technical, Automation and Performance testing skills to perform the role of a trusted quality assurance analyst and a subject matter expert on testing requirements, test planning, test execution and results management.
Role responsibilities
Responsible for developing and executing test plans, test cases across System Testing, System Integration, User Acceptance, Industry and Non Functional test levels. Plan and Execute manual/automated and Performance tests and analyze results to ensure quality using the recommended tool in Test Practice. Accountable for the delivery of all testing activities and artefacts for the allocated workstream/s within the project/program Ensure project and/or software release test plans align with the requirements of the business with respect to functionality, process, security, and compatibility. Make sure project and/or software release test data suites align with the coverage requirements of the test plans and test strategies Verify test environments readiness with appropriate data and are configured to allow completion of functional, regression and user acceptance testing.
Experience and knowledge
Experienced in working with multiple methodologies including traditional, incremental (agile) delivery and hybrid Experienced, demonstrated and have knowledge of incident, problem solving and ability to maintain technical documentation. Demonstrated understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management A high level of proficiency with SQL and testing web based/client-server applications, APIs and data migration Experience in CI/CD pipelines for deployment . Experience supporting 24x7 Technology Systems Ability to mentor and cross-skill with team members.
Education/ Certificates
Degree in Information Systems, Technology or relevant discipline. Certification in relevant technologies (eg. ISTQB advanced, Agile Testing)
