Your new role awaits…
The Merchandise Planning Assistant will support the planners by effectively managing the administration, data and system requirements of the department. They will help to drive category sales and profit by assisting with ranging decisions to optimise inventory investment and sales opportunity. They will work closely with multiple departments, including design, production, marketing, and allocation to execute store launches in line with key events.
Primary responsibilities:
- Run, update and create reports as required to support analysis of trade and inventory management
- Regular auditing to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity
- Assist with quarterly royalty submission process with our brand partners
- Providing planners with analytics to support assortment decisions to maximise return on inventory investment, sales and profit
- Help to execute ranging strategy and communicate to multi-channel distribution team
- Assisting with setting up markdowns
- Completing ad hoc admin tasks for the department as required and problem solving
This role is based at our Store Support Centre (Head Office) in Eagle Farm, Brisbane, Queensland.
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience with Excel
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy
- Strong analytical skills and be able to identify trends in data
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and problem solve
- Ability to work proactively in a team environment with a flexible, can-do attitude
The following would be advantageous (but not required):
- Previous retail or office experience
- Experience working to KPIs
