Winyama is seeking suitably qualified candidates for a new role as GIS Consulting Lead reporting to the general manager to lead an emerging and dynamic delivery team. Responsibilities include:
- Delivery of spatial consulting services to Winyama clients
- Oversight of projects
- Team management
- Support to Sales Team in proposal generation
Successful applicants will have:
- 5+ years of experience in a GIS consulting role or similar
- Knowledge and experience in project management and client services
- Proven ability to lead, manage and coach emerging / junior staff
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of contemporary industry spatial solutions, technologies and applications (e.g. Esri, FME, QGIS, …)
- An applied knowledge and commitment towards a culturally sensitive and culturally safe working environment.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in geomatics, project management, information technology or a related field is desirable. Those without a bachelor's degree with relevant GIS industry or work experience are encouraged to apply.
