In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our customers, staff, and property. As the first point of contact for customers and guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and secure environment. Your duties will include monitoring the entrance and exit of the premises, checking identification for guests and visitors, assisting gaming staff and promptly addressing any safety concerns or incidents that may arise. You will work closely with other departments within the hotel to provide excellent customer service while maintaining strict adherence to security protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to addressing potential security threats. Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the entrance and exit of guests, staff, and deliveries.
- Check the identification of guests and visitors as required.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to any security breaches or emergencies.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and addressing their inquiries.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities and incidents.
- Collaborate with local authorities when necessary and document any police involvement.
- Assisting Gaming staff with required duties.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong observational and surveillance skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm and act effectively in emergency situations.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor, with strong customer service skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Current RSA, RSG and Victorian Security Licence
