About the Role: We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Support Workers to join our team at Brighter Access in the Charlestown, Maitland & Cessnock areas. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and assistance to a male participant with a variety of support needs. The role involves providing personal care, domestic assistance, and behaviour support while fostering a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care tasks, including showering, hoisting, toileting, and continence aids.
- Provide behaviour support in alignment with participant needs and individual plans.
- Help with meal planning and preparation to ensure dietary requirements are met.
- Assist with domestic duties and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Support the participant in achieving their goals, promoting independence where possible.
Shift Details:
- Monday to Sunday availability required.
- Shift times :
- 0600 – 0930
- 0600 – 1500
- 1500 – 2000
- 1500 – 0600 (SOS shift)
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in personal care and domestic assistance is essential.
- Experience in behaviour support is preferred.
- A passion for helping others and making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with medication administration and hoisting is highly regarded.
