About The Opportunity
The Machine Operator reports to the Factory Manager and is part of the manufacturing team. The key focus of this role is to ensure the efficient operation of the machinery used in the production process to shape, cut and form steel into roof trusses, joists, and wall frames. More specifically, you will:
Loading of new coils on the de-coiler when required.Ensuring finished product is loaded onto trolleys in a methodical orderResets, adjusts, and corrects machine set up to reduce thickness and eliminate product defects.Ensuring Product produced is of high quality and within required qualificationEnsure Roll form machine and area is kept tidyEnsure daily product inspections are completedEnsure daily audits (Calibration checks) are completedMonitor and report any abnormal machine operation and/or maintenancePerform routine maintenance on equipment and assist maintenance as requiredMaintenance reports are completed in a timely manner to avoid breakdownsComplete daily production sheetsMonitor machine cycles and operation to ensure fabricated products conform to specifications
About You

Excellent work ethic, honest, reliable and punctualStrong attention to detail producing high quality workPhysically fit to perform manual handling tasksDemonstrated experience in roll forming (desirable).Familiarity with the steel framing industry (desirable).Good mechanical aptitude.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasksAbility to work independently, as well as contribute as a team memberCurrent driver's license and reliable transportAvailable to work Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays - 38 hours a week
