Drive the development, coordination and delivery of nursing clinical placements and newly qualified nurse transition.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Educator (Entry to Practice) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Lead and deliver nursing education programs
  • Support graduate nurses and clinical placements
  • Engage with education providers and key stakeholders
  • Develop strategies to enhance learner capability

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary ranging from $132 562 - $143 924 per annum

The Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit (NMERU) drives the development of an appropriately skilled nursing and midwifery workforce to deliver evidence-based, person-focused care to our community. The unit is led by the Director of Nursing NMERU, and sits within the Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Patient Experience.
