Description:
Provide evidence based neuropsychology services within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework to adult inpatients and outpatients with acquired brain injury, neurological and neurodegenerative disorders and mental health and medical comorbidities.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Neuropsychologist (Rehabilitation) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Utilise knowledge of neuropsychological theories and frameworks in the delivery of clinical neuropsychology services
- Develop increasing knowledge and skill in utilising evidence based clinical neuropsychological treatment
- As experience builds, increasingly apply independent clinical judgement involving the selection of appropriate neuropsychological psychometric tests
- Participate in research and the design, implementation and evaluation of evidence based quality and service improvement activities
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Psychology
- Progress toward or possession of a post-graduate qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (45.6hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $39.86 - $58.59 per hour
