We are seeking a Project Controller to support the Project Management Team with the primary purpose of delivering effective project outcomes in the areas of project controls. Working on large construction and mining shutdown projects, this role assists in managing the systems and processes required to control and direct projects toward excellent safety, time, cost and quality results for our company and our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support operations in the creation of job numbers, project structures, raising orders, reviewing pending costs and the tracking of equipment allocation to and from Projects.
- Heavy focus on cost analysis and financial reporting including budget, variations, forecast costs and margin to complete, and accruals.
- Plan, track and monitor work progress, hours spent and productivity performance including variations.
- Preparation, data entry and submission of progress claims or invoices to clients.
- Collate and analyse data to produce reports concerning Project budgeting, expenditure, performance, and completion outcomes.
- Manage subcontractor and suppliers.
- Establish positive working networks and relationships with both internal and external clients that results in efficient, timely and effective communication.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in a Project Cost Control role or similar
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, including forecasting, cost control and financial reporting ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Exceptional analytical skills to assess project performance and identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
- Advanced skills with the MS Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Must be able and willing to go to site when projects are in execution phase
