We currently have opportunities within our Smarter, Safer Infrastructure team for two Pavement Engineers. These are both full-time roles to be based from our Brisbane office.
Main duties of the role

• Develop solutions to achieve quantifiable and implementable outcomes which ultimately benefit our community
• Work alongside a range of teams including the Sustainability and Asset Management teams to ensure a holistic approach to Pavements design, construction and management is considered
• Use your analytical and problem-solving capabilities to design laboratory studies and field trials and interpret their results accurately and concisely to make better informed decisions
• Use your network to create new opportunities to build sustainable resilience within the transportation industry

Professional Level

• Civil Engineering Degree, Masters Degree
• 3-5 years of experience within the transport industry including consultancy or local government
• Understanding of Pavement Engineering and associated technologies
• Some experience in unsealed roads and/ or specialised pavement materials skills desirable
• Sound technical writing skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Principal Level

• Civil Engineering Degree, Masters Degree, (a higher Research Degree is desirable but not essential)
• Up to 10 years of experience within the transport industry including consultancy or local government and transport agencies
• Be a source of technical knowledge in pavement management and pavement engineering
• Undertake research projects for international, national, state, and local road agencies
• Demonstratable experience in unsealed roads and/ or specialised pavement materials skills desirable
• Identify gaps, develop proposals, secure and grow ongoing work opportunities whilst utilising pavement technical knowledge
• Excellent project management skills
