Senior Design/Construction Teacher
Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. The College is seeking a committed and dedicated Senior Design/Construction Teacher who has a passion for teaching and working as part of an energetic team committed to excellence in the classroom.
The position is a full-time, ongoing position commencing with us in term 2.
Selection Criteria :
The applicant will have:
- Qualifications supporting, and experience in, teaching Junior and Senior Design Technologies in Years 8-12 with a specific focus on Senior Design and Senior Construction.
- The following qualifications would be advantageous:
- CPC10120/20220 Certificate I/II in Construction Pathways
- MEM20422 Certificate II Engineering Pathways
- TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Demonstrate significant experience in all aspects of Construction
- Demonstrated experience in Senior Design
- Commitment to pastoral care of students
- Awareness and understanding of boys’ education theories and strategies
- Substantial knowledge and experience of curriculum initiatives and development in education
- High degree of discretion, initiative and personal organisation in the execution of responsibilities and duties
- Flexibility and resourcefulness in working with a variety of staff members
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams to enhance the College’s identity as a Catholic School in the Marist tradition
