About the Role…
As an Employment Coach, you’ll provide job search, resume assistance, interviewing coaching and workplace readiness support. You’ll work closely with individuals facing barriers to employment, helping them gain confidence and secure sustainable job.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess individual’s needs and create tailored pathways to employment
- Performance focused and work to individual targets and KPI’s
- Participant support and coaching
- Job search, resume and cover letter support
- Interview coaching
- Assist participants develop soft skills
- Identify and coordinate referrals to internal and external supports
- Case management and documentation
- Continuous improvement and professional development
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers and employers / community partners
What we’re looking for:
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice and its application in employment services
- Experience in Employment Services, recruitment or career coaching
- Knowledges of job market trends and workplace expectations
- Ability to identify barriers to employment and develop solutions
- Ability to identify and secure opportunities for participants with person centred approach to support them achieving their individual life goals within their community by supporting them into sustainable employment
- Ability to support each individual of any age / race etc
- Knowledge of resources and community programs available to individuals with disabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Strong case management and time management skills to prioritise and handle a caseload of participants
- Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records and manage reporting requirements
- A positive, proactive attitude with a strong commitment for supporting individuals and disabilities in achieving employment goals
- Strong ethical standards and commitments to maintaining confidentiality and participant dignity
