Job DescriptionLowrys is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant/Manager to join our growing Accounting and Advisory team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse client base, as we continue to expand under new ownership and management. We are focused on delivering high-quality services across Accounting, Business Advisory, SMSF, and Bookkeeping, and are looking for a CA or CPA qualified professional with strong financial acumen.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial and management reporting, tax planning, taxation, and stakeholder collaboration. As we continue to experience growth and success, the Directors are seeking to strengthen our team by adding a skilled Senior Tax Accountant/Manager who will play a key role in business development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns and activity statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
- Lead client meetings for businesses and personal tax clients.
- Drive business development by collaborating with the management team to identify growth opportunities and expand client services.
- Attend training sessions and stay updated with changes to accounting standards, tax laws and other regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Assisting with the development of junior team.
- Contribute to a client-focused team and supportive workplace culture.
ABOUT YOU:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Tax Accountant/Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business or related field.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in preparing complex tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
- Highly collaborative, with a natural ability to build networks and establish trusting business relationships.
- Skilled in Excel and a range of accounting software, with a preference for experience in Xero and MYOB.
- Highly organised and proactive, capable of managing multiple clients while consistently meeting deadlines.
