About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Team Leader to join our dedicated team. This position is open to both experienced team leaders and early career educators who are eager to develop their leadership skills through training, mentoring, and coaching.
The ideal candidate will be a committed and passionate educator who embraces creativity, values innovative thinking, and is dedicated to the field of early childhood education and care.

Key Responsibilities As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care by:
- Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with children, families, and the community.
- Supporting and mentoring educators in effective documentation of children’s learning, aligning with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), and the Centre’s mission and values.
- Modeling and guiding educators in implementing diverse teaching strategies, including intentional teaching and reflective practice.
- Ensuring compliance with all organisational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
- Upholding the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics and the Murraya Children's Centre Code of Conduct .
- Championing play-based learning in a nurturing environment.
- Demonstrating knowledge of or a willingness to learn about the Reggio Emilia and RIE approaches to curriculum and pedagogy.
Skills & Experience The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Strong written communication skills, including grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, and computer literacy.
- A proactive approach to collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork.
- Leadership capabilities or the willingness to develop them through mentorship and training.
- A commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement.
- A dedication to upholding the Centre’s mission, values, and high standards of care and education.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or must be actively working towards this qualification and provide evidence of consistent progress toward completion as per ACECQA requirements ).
- Current Working with Children Clearance .
- HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
