Primary objective

Responsible for project managing NT Health’s key communication tools including website content and development of intranet infrastructure.

Key duties and responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic advice and develop, implement and evaluate multiple internal and communications projects.
  2. Manage, develop and deliver NT Health communication strategies.
  3. Lead the development of content for a broad range of communications collateral. Extensive experience in writing and editing, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and deliver projects within tight timeframes.
  5. In consultation with the Strategic Media, Marketing and Communications team, provide advice to clients and stakeholders in relation to communication activities.
  6. Develop and maintain effective working relationships and networks with peers, industry, and other stakeholders at local and national levels.
  7. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
  8. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practises and role modelling behaviour.

Selection criteria

Essential

  1. Proven successful experience in managing and delivering complex and multi-faceted communications projects, utilising internal channels and tools.
  2. Demonstrated project management experience, with attention to detail, client focus and proven ability to interpret the political, social and organisational environment when developing and managing major strategies.
  3. Proven high level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly to develop and write project plans, communiques and reports.
  4. Proven high level interpersonal, collaborative and problem solving skills demonstrating the ability to build, nurture and sustain positive industry and stakeholder relationships, and communicate with influence.
  5. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a budget.
  6. High level personal performance, including the ability to work as part of a team, manage pressure and change in an environment of continuous improvement, and adaptability to changing requirements.
