We are seeking a dedicated WELDING & PIPING SUPERVISOR to join our team in Darwin. This is a casual position and few of our immediate requirements are as follows.
- Darwin Workshop: Must reside in Darwin or be local. Supervise and coordinates all workshop -based operations.
- Darwin Project (FIFO 3:1): Hiring at any capital city. O&G background required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for supervising and coordinating all welding/piping operations in conjunction with work schedules and deadlines.
- Supervise and coordinate activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Monitor and inspect welding/piping work to ensure compliance with quality control procedures and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute projects efficiently and effectively.
- Understand and interpret isometric and P&ID drawings.
- Provide guidance on welding/ piping techniques.
- Provide leadership and guidance to personnel, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Mentor and support the team in fabricating piping isometrics from various exotic materials.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain documentation, records, and reports related to welding/piping activities, including welder/piping qualifications, inspection reports, and material certifications.
ABOUT YOU
- Must at least have (4) years’ relevant experience as Welding/Piping Supervisor with Oil & Gas background.
- Relevant Trade Certificate and qualifications.
- Experience working with large bore and piping materials like Duplex, Stainless, and Carbon steel.
- Proficient in reading Isometrics
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership, direction and mentoring.
- Able to work under pressure, multi-task, together with the capacity to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high standards of HSE performance.
