Join IBISWorld as an Industry Analyst in Melbourne, contributing to industry research and report writing in a supportive team.

Your role

Responsibilities

  • Writing high-quality industry reports within deadlines
  • Collecting and analyzing macroeconomic, demographic, and industry-specific data
  • Long-term forecasting based on existing industry data
  • Conducting qualitative research and staying updated with economic trends
  • Performing client presentations and contributing to product development
  • Giving interviews to journalists about assigned industries
  • Reporting to the Head of Research and performing other duties as assigned

About you

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in economics, commerce, business, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and forecast economic data
  • Familiarity with online research techniques
  • A solid grasp of economics, financial terms, and business concepts
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team
  • Interest in economic news and current events
  • Openness to feedback and eagerness to learn
  • Confidence in liaising with media
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience writing business research articles is an advantage
