About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Your Lifestyle Centre Beenleigh. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with physical, mental, or developmental disabilities to achieve independence in their daily lives. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on promoting active aging and social inclusion.
Locations:
- Beenleigh, QLD & Rochedale, QLD – Generous relocation assistance is available for out-of-state applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and Evaluate: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' functional abilities, cognitive status, and environmental factors affecting daily living.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized care plans and therapeutic interventions to promote independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
- Collaboration: Work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to establish achievable goals and monitor progress towards desired outcomes.
- Client Support: Educate clients and caregivers on adaptive strategies, energy conservation techniques, and fall prevention measures.
- Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress notes in compliance with YLC's standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience: This is a great opportunity for both experienced and new-graduate professionals. Experience and/or passion in working with seniors or individuals with disabilities, is highly valued.
- Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
