Salary Range: Base rate $57,300.44 per annum + northern district allowance ($57,357.58 per annum)
Position Type: Full-Time Permanent
Location: MacNamara Street, Cairns

Interested in a hands-on role in Wastewater Services? We’re looking for Labourers to join our team and help maintain the sewerage network’s daily operations!
Your Daily Tasks Include:
-
Assist in the repairs of sewer reticulation and lateral connection blockages
-
Assist with the installation of sewer extensions
-
Assist with the inspection/investigation of manhole asset integrity
-
Assist with CCTV surveys of sewerage reticulation systems
-
Assist with the location of underground assets
-
Assist with the maintenance of rising main easements
-
Operate and maintain licensed emergency overflow valves
-
Assist with the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance activities of all sewerage pumps stations
-
Assist with the operation of the Vacuum Tanker
-
Be available to assist the afterhours on call officer and participate if required with planned/unplanned afterhours work
What We Are Looking For:
-
Construction White Card.
-
Physically fit and willing to work in outdoor environments (you will be required to pass a pre-employment medical)
-
Current MR Drivers Licence or ability to obtain.
-
Current confined space accreditation and/or ability to gain accreditation.

Basic Computer Skills.
-
A practical ability to pre-empt and organise tools and equipment to assist with all aspects of wastewater maintenance activities.

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
