RSL Tasmania and VeteranHub Tasmania have an exciting opportunity for a Veteran to join our Governance Committee as a representative. This role is crucial in ensuring the voices and perspectives of our Veteran community are effectively represented in our decision-making processes.
About the Role:
The Veteran Representative will serve as a key member in the VeteranHub Tasmania Governance Committee, providing insights and guidance on matters affecting Veterans within our organisation and the wider community. This volunteer position requires a commitment to attend regular committee meetings and participate actively in discussions and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Attend and participate in Governance Committee meetings.

Provide input on policies and programs involving Veterans.

Act as a liaison between the Veteran community and the committee.

Advocate for the needs and interests of Veterans.

Collaborate with other committee members to support the organisation’s mission.
We are seeking a Veteran who possesses:

A strong commitment to serving the Veteran community.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders.

A passion for advocacy and community engagement.

New to the RSL Tasmania and VeteranHub Tasmania Initiative.

Previous experience in a leadership or an advisory role (preferred but not required).
Remuneration:
This is a volunteer position.
