Assistant Accountant
As Reach Subsea continues to grow, we’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our innovative finance team in Perth . You’ll support the Finance Manager, handle day-to-day finance tasks, assist with audits, and help identify process improvements. Be part of a forward-thinking team driving growth and innovation in the subsea industry

The Assistant Accountant shall:

Assist Finance Manager with internal and external Audit requirements

Bank Reconciliation
-
Maintain the Fixed Asset register – update monthly with additions and disposals

Maintain cashflow report
-
Monitor and manage financial transactions to ensure accurate record keeping

Prepare monthly BAS returns
-
Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
-
Provide back up support to bookkeeper
-
Provide payroll backup
-
Review payment journals
-
Review supplier invoices before posting
-
Support month-end and year-end closing processes – BS Reconciliations with supporting documentation, prepare monthly journals
-
Other duties as required within scope of capabilities and Australian law
Key Tasks and responsibilities:

Ensuring financial information is recorded accurately.

Identify and communicate opportunities for improvements to the Reach Subsea processes.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Job qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Skills: Strong reconciliation skills and understanding off financial processes. High attention to detail and organisational skills.
Experience and knowledge: Specific knowledge of accounting standards. Understanding of tax laws – FBT, BAS.
