We are seeking a self-motivated, proactive and energetic Communications Technician to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring prompt and effective service and project delivery for our customers, within the Perth Metro and outer suburb regions (and proactive & reactive regional support throughout WA as required – mainly Southwest & Pilbara).
Reporting to the Project & Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient operation of equipment or systems, effective communication of faults and service outcomes and minimising downtime and deliver of projects.

How would you contribute to our success?
- Developing a robust understanding of our Platform solutions and services, to effectively identify and communicate opportunities to enhance or resolve our customer’s needs.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining equipment and systems within our customers environments, including but not limited to the following:
- Audio Visual, Duress, Nurse call, Television, Real-Time-Location-Services:
o Extra-Low-Voltage Electronics
o IPTV and MATV Infrastructure
o Networking (Low-level bus, IP, Voice, Wired and wireless)
o Wireless devices (IR, RF, BLE and WiFi) - Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain continuity in communication services.
- Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and performance of communication infrastructure and provide timely reports highlighting risk and applicable recommendations for maintaining the effectiveness of the solutions in place.
- Collaborating with other team members and departments to coordinate installation projects, upgrades and system expansions within agreed timeframes and budgets.
Essential requirements:
- A valid driver license
- A WorkSafe WA - OHS Construction Induction – White/Blue card
- A Cabling licence (Structured, Coax, Fibre, Testing (Metallic), and Testing (Fibre))
- A willingness to participate in an estimated 3 week-on call roster cycle, providing with, additional allowances + overtime
- Demonstrated experience carrying out similar responsibilities in another role.
- A demonstrated focus on customer centricity; understanding their needs and concerns is your core starting point to building relationships and demonstrating how we can add value.
- You are self-motivated, with demonstrated ability work independently with minimal supervision, and manage priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Working in a fast-paced environment, being challenged, and broadening your capabilities, are what keeps you energised and interested.
- Your strong understanding of IP networking concepts, protocols and hardware technologies.
- Your problem-solving and attention to detail combined with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues accurately and efficiently
