Pine Rivers Special School is situated approximately 20 kilometers north of the Brisbane CBD in the suburb of Lawnton, and caters for children with a verified diagnosis of an Intellectual Disability.

About the Role
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain connection to the Health and Safety Advisor/Representatives by playing an active role in Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W).
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits and contribute to the implementation of identified corrective actions.
- Provide operational, guidance and advice regarding HS&W including injury management to effect improvements in HS&W performance.
- Monitor and report on incidents from MyHR Workplace Health & Safety, to identify new or emerging issues, risks or trends and recommend strategies for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
- Facilitate HS&W training to raise awareness for all employees on delivery strategies with the view to building a positive safety culture.
- Promote psychologically and physically safe workplaces and practices with a focus on employee wellbeing and education.
