Your Role
The Apache Systems Program Office (Apache SPO) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced APS 6 Logistics Performance Liaison Officer to join their team in Townsville.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring logistics support compliance, developing and implementing strategies, and liaising with various stakeholders to maintain efficient and effective logistics operations.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in ERP (SAP S4HANA), and a solid understanding of logistics support to capability. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of the Apache SPO and make a tangible impact on logistics operations.

Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated and experienced logistics governance professional with a strong understanding of logistics support to capability. They have a proven track record in MILIS or ERP (SAP S4HANA) and demonstrable leadership skills.
They are capable of building team capability, providing detailed technical and policy advice, and managing complex workflows. They have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, is experienced in stakeholder engagement and management, as well as having strong negotiation skills.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Foster working relationships with stakeholders and resolve logistics matters to deliver favourable outcomes.
- Understand, evaluate material logistic activities, and apply organisational processes and procedures to ensure alignment with sustainment objectives.
- Be accountable for undertaking development of materiel logistics and providing accurate expertise and guidance to all stakeholders.
- Have high-level experience in managing staff and working effectively at the APS 6 level.
- Demonstrate One Defence Leadership Behaviours and always act in a manner that advances the reputation of Army Aviation Systems Branch.
- Possess the relevant qualifications, skills and experience as deemed necessary for the role.
Our Team
The new Apache Helicopter Systems Program Office (AHSPO) is designed to support the Joint Force of the late 2020s and beyond to fight and win the land battle. As the Apache Helicopter project is an emerging capability, the team, which comprises of ADF, APS and Contractor staff, is rapidly growing.
Whilst this role is based in Townsville, our growing Apache team is split between Canberra, Brisbane, Oakey, and Townsville. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-value, advanced Defence capabilities, whilst being rewarded with a professional, inclusive and supportive team.
