We’re looking for a dedicated Temporary Community Grants Officer to support local initiatives and enhance the impact of Council's grants program.
In this role, you'll manage community grants, foster key relationships, and contribute to strategic, impactful projects. If you have strong organisational and communication skills, a desire to help communities thrive, and a collaborative spirit, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
What your day will look like:
- Support the preparation of reports and budget submissions to Council
- Support the development, implementation and administration of Council’s Community Grants Framework including policy, programmes, processes and guidelines to ensure that Council is delivering a best practice programme that meets Council’s strategic objectives
- Administer Council’s Community Grants Programme to ensure an efficient and effective system that provides a continuous improvement focus
- Using a community development approach, support the development, implementation and education and information programme for Council’s Community Grants
- Undertake stakeholder liaison and engagement to ensure that Council has a reputation for accountability, transparency and compliance with internal grant programmes

What you’ll need for success:
- Previous experience in an administrative role
What’s nice to have:
- Qualifications in a related/relevant field
- Demonstrated experience in the area of community grants administration using a community development approach
