LET’S EXPLORE THE JOB
Join our dynamic and progressive Technology department and be responsible for the delivery of the IT Business Analyst function across our Digital Solutions team, and wider organisation.
In this role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to elicit and analyse business needs and translate them into business requirements to drive efficiencies, add value and enhance our customer experience.
Your other key focus areas are;

Strong ability to question and challenge the status quo and to recommend, coordinate, and implement business and / or digital solutions within time, budget, and ensuring improved customer service delivery

Lead and coordinate the consultation with relevant technical specialists including vendors and provide direction, authorisations, and advice for system developers and administrators

Document business requirements to a sufficient level of detail for solution implementation and sign off by project sponsors and subject matter experts, including scope and current state processes

Provide leadership in the analysis of Council information, business processes, and workflow requirements

Facilitate and coordinate the process of designing the future state process and / or data model, applying techniques such as process mapping, data flow diagrams and using other relevant tools such as Microsoft Excel, MS Query and Visio etc

You have strong analytical skills and a desire to build stakeholder relationships across our diverse business to influence technical direction, drive improvement, and build an innovative, collaborative, and resilient organisation. You are a curious person with a need to understand the why and how teams operate across the business. You are adaptable, approachable, challenge the status quo, and can critically analyse and investigate an issue to a conclusion. You have project skills and will thrive in the tactical space providing input into strategic architecture decisions. You have a real passion to collaborate across our organisation to create better outcomes now and into the future.
You will bring;

Degree level qualifications in Business Analysis or related field and/or extensive relevant experience

Demonstrated strong experience in business analysis and stakeholder engagement
-
Strong Business process mapping skills and experience using Visio
-
Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and complex projects within a dynamic project environment, within tight deadlines
Extensive knowledge and experience with industry-standard Business Analysis methodologies- in both Waterfall and Agile projects
