The Bird in Hand Woodside Estate offers unique, charming spaces for bespoke private events. Our onsite events, LVN Restaurant and O’Quarters Accommodation offer world-class food and wine amongst contemporary art and Adelaide Hills vineyard views.
Our Cellar Door is open seven days per week, offering a selection of guided wine tastings by our experienced cellar door team, alongside a seasonal menu of hearty snacks designed to be shared. Depending on the time of year, guests can enjoy the beauty of the award winning Mediterranean terraced gardens or sit by the fire in our Barrel Hall.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee the day-to-day management of our events and hospitality offerings in South Australia), including:
- Private events (including weddings)
- Public events
- Cellar Door
- Flight Club
- LVN Restaurant
- ‘O’ Quarters Accommodation
You will have a passion for local, native and sustainably sourced ingredients and wines at the top echelon of nationwide opinion, whilst embracing Bird in Hand’s ecological commitment and deep respect of First Nation’s history and culture.
You will need a deep understanding of quality service in the hospitality industry as you will be responsible for leading our events and hospitality operations, with various staff reporting directly to you.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Management:
· Communicate with clients on their requirements and expectations.
· Secure event bookings
· Plan, organise and manage the events ensuring every detail is seamless and memorable
Hospitality Management:
· Source and coordinate staffing needs across all hospitality offerings
· Manage profitability, oversee revenue targets and create budgets for each stream
· Monitor, reconcile and report on all hospitality revenue
· Drive revenue growth through innovative business development strategies
· Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance hospitality operations
· Ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service for a premium guest experience in wine, food and the arts
· Direct, coach and communicate with the hospitality teams for efficient operations
· Build strong partnerships to support business goals and objectives
· Ensure facilities are well-maintained and presentable
Hours include weekends and evenings, as required.
A level of flexibility is required, to assist on the rare occasion, with our Tasmanian offerings.
