About the business
Neogen Australasia Pty Limited is in the business of food security. The Food Safety Division markets dehydrated culture media and diagnostic test kits to detect food borne bacteria, natural toxins, food allergens, drug residues, plant diseases and sanitation concerns. Neogen Australasia's Animal Safety Division distributes a variety of animal healthcare products, including diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, veterinary instruments, wound care and disinfectants.
About the role
The position is based at Neogen’s Wacol facility with some travel required to our Bundamba site. We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Assistant or someone who can learn on the job very quickly. We need someone who can work both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Checking the condition of incoming and outgoing inventory for damage, expired products and any other issues which would affect the product’s salability

Logging issues with incoming and outgoing inventory using spreadsheets and Microsoft Teams

Receipting of products into inventory management system

Maintain Bin Locations and stock in appropriate areas

Strict adherence to relevant Standard Operating Procedures [SOP]

Ensure warehouse area is kept tidy and safe at all times

Regular monthly stocktakes of all products and other ad hoc stocktakes as requested by supervisor/management

Dispatching of outgoing orders to customers including booking couriers and sending items by Australia Post

Recycling packaging and identifying other cost saving measures

Liaise with supervisor to ensure stock is maintained at appropriate levels

All other duties assigned by supervisor.
Education and/or Experience: High School certificate.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and procedures.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and the ability to quickly learn other software programs.
Travel: Some travel may be required between Wacol and Bundamba.
