About the role
Go Kart Action is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Go Kart Track Marshall to join our team in Mareeba, QLD. As a casual employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our go-kart racing track. With a focus on customer service and safety, this position is perfect for those with a love for motorsports and a desire to provide an exceptional experience for our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Monitoring and controlling the go-kart racing track to ensure the safety of all drivers and spectators
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the go-karts and racing equipment
- Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to all visitors
- Enforcing track rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
- Reporting any incidents or issues to the management team
- Participating in regular safety and training sessions
- Assisting customers on track (requires some physical strength)
- Working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- General cleaning and facility maintenance during quieter periods
- Ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer service or amusement-related role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety
- Flexible and able to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- A valid driver's licence
- General understanding of mechanical vehicles, not necessary, but a willingness to learn
- Flexibility to assist with cleaning and maintenance tasks when needed
- Must have a valid driver’s licence
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion
- Ability to remain calm and professional when handling challenging customers
- Fit, healthy, and able to move quickly
- Reliable, organised, and well-presented
- Positive and hard-working attitude
- Shows initiative and attention to detail
- Flexibility to assist with cleaning and maintenance tasks when needed
