About the role
Meals On Wheels Central Coast is seeking a motivated and community-focused Community Restaurant Coordinator to join our team in Bateau Bay, NSW on a contract basis (6 months). In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our community restaurant, ensuring the provision of high-quality meals and an exceptional dining experience for our local clients.
What you'll be doing

Manage the daily operations of the community restaurant, including menu planning, food ordering, and volunteer roster coordination

Oversee the training and supervision of our team of volunteers

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food handling regulations

Liaise with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to understand and address their needs

Maintain accurate records and reporting on the restaurant's performance and client feedback

Collaborate with the broader Meals On Wheels Central Coast team to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
What we're looking for

Relevant Food Safety and Handling Certification is highly desired

Experience in a similar community-focused or hospitality role

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service

A deep understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, as well as experience in managing a team

A genuine commitment to supporting the elderly and disabled members of our community
