The Support Officer provides administrative support to the Employment Facilitator in the delivery of services, as prescribed within their relevant position description and guidelines.
The Local Jobs Program Support Officer will work with the Employment Facilitator to actively engage with local stakeholders to support the generation of targeted activities, ensure pathways to the workforce are developed, and/or maximise employment opportunities.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining and updating the Local Jobs Plan
- Analysing labour market data and information
- Engaging with and managing stakeholder relationships
- Assisting proponents to develop Activities to promote local employment outcomes
- Collating and drafting monthly reports to the department
- Organising and coordinating Taskforce Meetings, including booking rooms, preparing minutes, agendas, and other related papers
- Curating social media content
- Ad hoc reporting as required by the Department
- Event coordination and delivery
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- Demonstrable experience working within the local labour market
- Knowledge of government-funded programs and how they work
- Ability to interpret comprehensive guidelines and policies and how they will affect the role
- Capability to produce in-depth reports in a timely fashion
- Capacity to develop strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Proven administrative skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite
