Exciting Opportunities for Grade 1 Occupational Therapists!
West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking passionate and motivated Grade 1 Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic and supportive Occupational Therapy team. We have both a permanent and fixed-term role available, offering valuable experience across diverse clinical settings.
These positions involve rotations between acute inpatient units and the Community Allied Health Service, along with opportunities to contribute to outpatient programs such as Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Prehabilitation education groups.
Our Occupational Therapy Department delivers services across acute, subacute, Community Rehab, Aged Care, and outpatient settings. The team comprises experienced Grade 3, Grade 2, and Grade 1 Occupational Therapists, supported by multidisciplinary Allied Health Assistants working within a collaborative environment.
We are committed to clinical supervision and professional development, with dedicated senior Occupational Therapists providing ongoing support, supervision and mentoring. We also provide an early career development program. Working closely with the multidisciplinary Allied Health team, we strive to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to our consumers.

Our preferred candidates will have:

Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy.

Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Occupational Therapy Board.

Membership of the Australian Occupational Therapy Association or equivalent.

Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.

A high level of theoretical and practical clinical knowledge in Occupational Therapy practice.

Excellent communication (both verbal & written) skills.
-
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Government grants of up to $15,000 may be available for new graduates applying for the position.

IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.

All appointments with the West Gippsland Healthcare Group are subject to the satisfactory return of professional reference checks, a NDIS worker screening clearance and a current Employee Working with Children Check. All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six-month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
