About the role
The Drug & Alcohol clinician is part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for providing expert Drug & Alcohol clinical services in collaboration with consumers, carers and other care providers using an integrated and person centred approach.
The Drug & Alcohol clinician will provide Drug and Alcohol intake, assessments and treatment for clients seeking assistance with their substance use problems and/or comorbidity issues - provide clients who use drugs and alcohol and their families within a Harm Minimisation Framework. A variety of psychosocial interventions are used, primarily evidence-based approach of Motivation Interviewing and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
