Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Workplace Adviser with substantial HR and ER, expertise. In this telephone advisory role, you will handle complex workplace relations matters, interpret legislation, and provide expert advice to our members. Additionally, you will mentor and train other advisers and act as a subject matter expert in areas of interest.
Key Responsibilities and skills :
• Demonstrated ability to interpret workplace relations legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
• Provide advice on complex employee relations issues such as leave entitlements, performance management, misconduct, redundancy, discrimination, unfair dismissal and managing ill and injured workers.
• Offer guidance on workplace health and safety and workers' compensation.
• Apply HR policies and procedures.
• Act as a subject matter expert in specific areas of interest.

Ideal Candidate:
• Substantial experience in HR, ER, and IR with complex matters
• Ability to interpret awards, enterprise agreements and the Fair Work Act
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex issues in plain English
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Customer service focus and attention to detail
• Experience in mentoring and training others
• Degree qualifications in Law, HR, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
