We’ve grown rapidly into a 7-figure brand but require experienced financial leadership to move beyond reactive operations and into structured, strategic control.

We are seeking a senior-level Fractional CFO who can take immediate ownership of our financial systems, help stabilise the business, manage debt, and build a 6-month turnaround strategy focused on sustainability and profitability.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience within eCommerce (DTC), understands stock-based businesses, and is confident working closely with the founder to implement discipline, drive results, and create a strong financial framework.

  • Stock & Payments Planning

Advise on timing, structure, and payment methods for inventory purchasing and supplier relationships.

  • Debt Strategy & Loan Structuring

Guide the business through the use of loans (e.g., PayPal Capital, Shopify Capital), including modelling repayment strategies and risk exposure.

  • Pricing and COGS Review

Conduct a detailed cost-of-goods and margin analysis across all product categories to determine minimum pricing thresholds and profitability targets.

  • Implementation of Profit First

Assist in setting up or refining a Profit First framework to ensure disciplined allocation of revenue into OPEX, profit, tax, and stock.

  • Marketing Budget Oversight

Align closely with marketing teams to set MER/ROAS targets, manage campaign budgets, and ensure marketing spend is efficient and profitable.

  • Performance Tracking & Reporting

Establish financial dashboards or templates to track real-time cash flow, net profit, ROAS, and advertising efficiency.

  • Bookkeeping Audit

Review current bookkeeping practices, identify issues, and provide guidance on how to clean up, automate, and standardise reporting.

  • 6-Month Financial Action Plan

Co-develop a tactical action plan with the founder to restore control, improve cashflow, pay down debt, and create predictable financial structure.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a CFO or Head of Finance role

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to challenge decisions constructively

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • You have worked in eCommerce or DTC environments and understand the real-world complexity of advertising spend, product margins, stock cycles, and lean teams.
  • You know how to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • You are confident advising founders and aren’t afraid to make difficult decisions.
