About the opportunity
The Vice President Students and Registrar (VPS&R) portfolio oversees Student Support services, Student Administration, and Admissions at Southern Cross University, focusing on student success and retention. The Study Well unit under Student Support & Success Directorate provides academic support programs, including student orientation, first-year success, learning support, inclusion advising, and peer programs.
Southern Cross University’s VPS&R is seeking a Senior Manager – Study Well. You will collaborate with senior workgroup managers and staff across the University to review and develop policies, processes, and practices for services supporting student progression, retention and success. Your core responsibilities will include:

About you
You will be a strong leader who is passionate about student success and support. More specifically, you will have:
Relevant qualifications and substantial experience in direct management of large or medium multi-layered/skilled teams offering general student services that enhance student experience, engagement, and achievement Proven ability to lead teams effectively, prioritising competing demands, manage resources, delegate tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high quality and accuracy in work. High-level interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to contribute to a team, liaise with diverse internal and external stakeholders, and prepare complex documentation e.g. business cases, proposals, reports, policy review etc Demonstrated success in managing projects, events, or activations, with strong stakeholder engagement, exceptional customer service, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by new and commencing students Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience in leading initiatives to improve student experience. Proficient in advanced data analysis and reporting, with strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office products, and the ability to work as part of a solutions driven team.Salary and benefits

Full-time, continuing (permanent) Located at either Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480. Generous relocation support available. HEW Level 9. The base salary ranges from $129,848 - $136,131 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation.
