At My Mobile Mechanic, we believe in the power of true teamwork. We are looking for a qualified Light Vehicle Technician or 3rd or 4th year apprentice to join our team on a full-time basis (above award wages negotiated upon experience). This position will be both stationed at our well equipped Caloundra workshop and also focused on efficient mobile diagnostic/repair work with occasional mobile servicing. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a down to earth team built on family values and good vibes in a dynamic, fast-paced mechanical environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of light vehicles, such as servicing, brake and suspension repairs, and tyre replacement.
- Diagnose vehicle problems effectively and properly identify the required parts needed for repairs.
- Repair and replace worn and broken parts using standard automotive tools and equipment.
- Conduct safety and performance tests on light vehicles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all vehicle systems, repairs, and common issues to ensure confidence in diagnostics.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate III in Automotive light vehicle technology (or close to completion).
- Previous experience in light vehicle mechanic role.
- Own hand and power tools.
- Valid manual drivers license.
- Willing work ethic.
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Sense of humour.
