About the role
This role is based at Ironbark No.1, located within the Bowen Basin, and presents a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new mine development. We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Geologists to join our dedicated Technical Services Team.
As part of the team, you will assist in short to medium term planning, design, and implementation of underground projects. You will be providing support in all aspects of underground mine geology including (but not limited to):
- Geological modelling
- Hazard plans and Permit to Mine development
- Development / Bord Pillar / Longwall mapping
- Utilisation of SIS / UIS drilling data for seam interpretation
- Ground support auditing
- Channel Sampling
- Geological / Geotechnical project work
About you:
- 2 years’ experience in underground coal mining as a geologist – highly desirable
- Tertiary qualification in Geology and/or Geoscience
- Experience with Geological modelling software e.g. AutoCAD, Deswick, Vulcan
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- You will be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
