We are looking to appoint a Storeperson for our Darra, QLD branch. The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is primarily responsible for ensuring the correct stock is allocated correctly to various construction jobs. The role will also assist with managing and maintaining the warehouse with the correct stock as well as continuously keeping the warehouse clean and safe for all staff, clients and visitors entering the area.
This role will be employed on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday and will be required to work from 7:30am until 4:00pm each day.
Duties of the role include (but certainly are not limited to):
- Allocation of stock as per the required job and site
- Ensure that stock is packed securely and ready to be loaded correctly
- Prepare and arrange stock for delivery/pickup as required per job
- Cross check all materials to ensure accuracy according to packing slip
- Monitor stock levels to prevent over and/or under stocking
- Warehouse deliveries are to be unloaded as soon as possible and ensure stock quantity matches the delivery order
- Assist with monthly stocktake duties as needed
- Housekeeping duties: sweeping floors, picking up rubbish off floors, removal of package debris
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- Be physically fit - a pre-employment medical will be required to be satisfied
- You will have an eye for detail and an ability to consistently work accurately
- Awareness of occupational health and safety
- Ability to follow work instructions
- Able to work within a team environment as well as independently
- Be flexible to work overtime where needed
Mandatory requirements:
- Current and Valid Drivers Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Computer literate, able to learn new systems
