With an office that sits in Aitkenvale, STEPS Group is a committed provider of Adult Education and Training, Disability Employment Services, Community Support services.
We are now seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Manager to lead our Aitkenvale site. This role involves managing various programs, engaging with stakeholders, overseeing operations, and ensuring the success of our staff and students. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage programs including SEE (Skills for Education and Employment), SQW (Skilling Queenslanders for Work), VET, DES (Disability Employment Services), NDIS, and others.
- Monitor and report on operational performance, addressing issues and opportunities to enhance daily operations and future growth.
- Engage with business and stakeholders to build strong relationships and drive business growth.
- Oversee operational management and staff management.
- Ensure student and participant engagement and retention.
- Liaise with marketing to distribute materials across the Townsville area.
- Problem-solving and jumping in where needed, not just delegating tasks.
Skills and Experience:
- Recent experience in a management role with strong team leadership is essential.
- Extensive experience and knowledge in either:
- Delivering Disability Employment Services, including familiarity with National Standards for Disability Services, contracts, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Supporting funded RTO training programs, with an understanding of contractual funding, compliance requirements, and achieving KPI and financial targets.
Applicants must also have the ability to complete a Police Check, Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, have a current Driver's Licence and have the ability to travel to attend meetings, training or conferences outside the usual span of work hours.
