In the new senior leadership role of Operations Manager - Employee and Volunteer Engagement you will be responsible for overseeing the engagement, development and retention of our direct care employees and volunteers.
You will enjoy leading a team of Employee and Volunteer Team Leaders in the achievement of workforce and volunteer strategies that align with organisation goals, the delivery of high quality customer outcomes, and fostering a culture of inclusion, safety and continuous improvement.
This opportunity is available on a permanent full-time basis (Monday to Friday), with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements that include working at a Suncare office (Maroochydore, North Lakes or Gympie) and from home.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will:
Provide leadership direction and support to Employee and Volunteer Engagement Team Leaders to ensure effective and compliant workforce and volunteer management across all service areas.Contribute to strategic planning and provide advice on workforce and volunteer engagement, opportunities, and risks.Initiate and implement improvements in processes, procedures and services to enhance operational quality, efficiency and meet industry trends.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure employee and volunteer engagement supports safe, high-quality outcomes and monitor KPIs and ensure continuous improvement through data driven insights.Lead strategies to attract, support, and retain volunteers and employees.Collaborate with People and Culture to support best practices are implemented in recruitment, onboarding, training, performance, and recognition as well as to monitor and address workforce-related risks.Develop and manage budgets, and ensure financial performance aligns with strategic goals.Ensure operational practices align with regulatory and legislative requirements and contribute to the development of policy, procedures and frameworks.
What you will bring to our team
In addition to your proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams, you will champion our values and be a resilient and adaptable professional passionate about enhancing our employee and volunteer experience.
You will also possess:
A qualification in Human Resources, Business Management, Community Services or relevant field, or in the absence of such qualification, extensive experience leading a large and complex environment at a senior or executive leadership level.Demonstrated success in employee and volunteer engagement.Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, and proven ability to communicate, collaborate and negotiate effectively with varied stakeholders.An ability to be self-directed and highly organised to work autonomously, under pressure and hold oneself accountable to achieve targets and deadlines.An ability to keep abreast of industry knowledge including relevant Government funding, guidelines, and legislation.Willingness to travel as required to our regional offices between Rockhampton and Brisbane.
