About the role
We are looking for individuals to join our growing support services team over the coming months. If you are someone who likes variety and would be interested in cross training, we would love to hear from you.
The Catering department is responsible for safe food handling and timely delivery to patients. Our Housekeeping department maintains cleanliness of patient and non-patient areas to the required Calvary standards, carrying out required cleaning duties.
If you do not currently hold experience within both areas, but have the right attitude and interest in learning, we will provide you with the support and training required to fulfil your role.
Our dedicated Housekeeping and Catering team perform a vital and diverse service that directly impacts all functions within the facility from aesthetic appeal, quality and risk, work health and safety and most importantly infection control.
Please note, the successful applicant is required to hold a current Tasmanian WWVP clearance.
What you bring
Essential:
Knowledge of Workplace, health & Safety
Ability to work as part of a team.
Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
Ability to use initiative and work unsupervised.
Commitment to providing and maintaining excellent customer service.
Commitment to ethical practices.
Ability to interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), labels and safe work practices.
Have, or be willing to obtain, Certificate II / III in Health Support Services.
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organization.
