About The Role
Are you an experienced Civil Engineer with a passion for delivering infrastructure sustainability?
Join TasNetworks in this newly created, diverse and exciting role of Project Engineer – Civil and Sustainability and play a key role in the future of energy changes in Tasmania, including involvement in TasNetworks biggest project to date, the North West Transmission Developments.
This role will require you to utilise your experience as a civil engineer to provide technical oversight and leadership of the design, planning and environmental approvals, tendering, construction, testing and handover activities associated with civil works for high voltage substations, transmission lines and supporting infrastructure, whilst considering project constraints of time, quality and cost.
In this position you would also be coordinating a multidisciplinary team identifying and implementing sustainability initiatives into TasNetworks’ biggest projects. You would be working closely with various stakeholders in delivering sustainability goals and strategies for Major Transmission Projects, including being a key member in obtaining the ‘Bronze’ v2.1 Infrastructure Sustainability Council’s rating for the North West Transmission Developments.
The role will report to the Leader of Engineering for Major Transmission Projects, and will see you collaborating with a range of internal and external project stakeholders to ensure that civil components of the project are delivered to meet standards and quality requirements, whilst leading and implementing sustainability initiatives and processes.
About You
We are looking for suitably experienced candidates, who have extensive experience working on civil infrastructure projects and hold a Civil Engineering Degree (essential). Coupled with this is your enthusiasm for implementing sustainability initiatives into major infrastructure projects.
Our ideal candidate will also have –
Significant experience successfully delivering engineering outcomes, including project scoping, specification development, managing design reviews and onsite quality control inspections Ability to manage concurrent and conflicting priorities Demonstrated collaborative leadership, communication, decision-making and interpersonal skills
