Role Description

We are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. This role will be a full time, onsite role. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing therapy services to NDIS clients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications & Registrations:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Eligibility for membership with Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA).

  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC) (or willingness to obtain).

  • Current National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months).

  • Valid Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for community-based work.

Clinical & Technical Skills:

  • Experience conducting functional capacity assessments, home modifications, assistive technology assessments, and equipment prescription.

  • Strong understanding of NDIS funding processes, including report writing and advocacy for client needs.

  • Competence in seating and postural assessments, pressure injury prevention, and manual handling training.

  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy and rehabilitation plans across diverse client needs.

Interpersonal & Professional Skills:

  • Client-centered approach with strong communication, advocacy, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and families to develop and implement therapy goals.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload in both clinic and community settings.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

    Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in community health, disability services, aged care, or pediatric OT.

  • Knowledge of telehealth and virtual service delivery is an advantage.

  • Experience supervising students or junior therapists is desirable.
