Operating Theatre Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate the ability to consistently deliver exceptional patient care with kindness, helpfulness and compassion. A strong focus on customer service will also be required.

Your main duties will include:

  • Transporting of patients
  • Collecting and delivering of packages/specimens
  • Ensuring the safe handling and positioning of patients
  • Co-ordination and moving of specialised equipment
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to ensure efficient theatre utilisation
  • Cleaning and restocking

About you

  • Strong multitasking capabilities
  • Commitment to privacy and confidentiality
  • Compassion and empathy for a diverse range of patients
  • Effective organisational and time management skills with an ability to sense prioritisation
  • Embraces change in the work environment, including technology
  • A willingness to work collaboratively within a small team
  • Ability to build, develop and maintain professional relationships within a multidisciplinary team
  • The ability to work a rotating roster and be on call
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of safe work practices
