About the Role
Join the EPA planning team and coordinate the assessment of complex development applications (including Crown and Impact Assessed developments) and planning policy documents referred to the EPA by relevant authorities in consultation with EPA technical advisers. In addition, you will provide expert advice to proponents and relevant authorities on the EPA’s involvement in the planning system. As required, you may lead the development of assessment documentation (e.g.Guidelines, criteria, checklists, etc.) to assist with the EPA’s role in the assessment of proposed developments and land uses.

The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is South Australia’s independent environment protection regulator. The organisation works to protect, restore and improve the environment through the risk-based regulation of pollution, waste, noise and radiation. The EPA works closely with industry, the community and government to protect the unique natural environment while supporting economic growth and improving wellbeing. The EPA is responsible for the administration of the Environment Protection Act 1993 (EP Act) and the Radiation Protection and Control Act 2021 (RPC Act) and also exercises responsibilities under other South Australian planning and environmental legislation.

Essential Qualifications
Recognised degree in planning, science, engineering, natural resources or relevant discipline
Remuneration
PO3 ($101,285- $107,078 per annum) + 11.5% super added to your choice of super fund.
