About ECH

At ECH, we take pride in our work, our teamwork, and the positive impact we make on people’s lives. We believe our people drive our success, and how we work together is just as important as what we achieve. By embracing technology and flexible working, we create a better balance between work and life.

We're always looking for ways to improve the lives of older South Australians. To do this, we invest in our people. Everyone has the chance to grow, learn, and advance their career at ECH. We also value and celebrate diversity, recognising the strength it brings through different ideas, experiences, and perspectives.

About the Opportunity

A Home Support Team Member (HSTM) empowers older adults to live independently in their homes while maintaining their dignity and lifestyle. Working one-on-one with clients, HSTMs provide the personalised care and support that makes this independence possible.

Each day brings opportunities to make a meaningful difference - whether preparing meals, assisting with personal care, helping with household tasks, or simply being a friendly companion. HSTMs also play a crucial role in coordinating medical support, from medication reminders to arranging transportation for appointments.

As trusted partners in their clients' wellbeing, HSTMs carefully observe and document any changes in physical health, cognitive function, or social engagement. This monitoring ensures that any concerns are addressed promptly through proper channels. By fostering genuine, respectful relationships, HSTMs help their clients maintain control over their daily lives while accessing the support they need to thrive at home.

About You

Your genuine desire to enhance the lives of older adults drives your commitment to helping them maintain their independence at home. You have a natural ability to connect with people, and you communicate with warmth and patience, adapting your approach to each client's unique personality and needs.

Your keen attention to detail and efficient time management ensures clients receive reliable, consistent support while remaining flexible to accommodate changing circumstances.

You recognise both the practical and emotional aspects of supporting older adults. You balance physical safety and wellbeing with emotional support, all while maintaining strict workplace health and safety standards. Your empathetic nature and professional expertise make you a trusted presence in your clients' lives.
