St Mary’s Memorial School at Glenelg is seeking an Assistant Director to work closely with the OSHC Director in providing a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children in Before and After School Care as well as Vacation Care .
In this role, you will collaborate with the OSHC team to plan, deliver, and implement an effective program that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and communication , while promoting children’s agency over their learning.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs.

The ability to model and teach appropriate behaviours while providing proactive support for children.

Leadership experience , including supervising staff and managing unexpected situations.

Experience supporting children with additional needs .

Strong organisation and time management skills.

The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion .

Well-developed observation and reporting skills.
-
Experience in administrative duties related to OSHC operations.
Essential Requirements:
-
Qualifications recognised by ACECQA for working in a child-related industry.

A current Working with Children Check and Catholic Clearance .

A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012) .

Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) training.

A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time, Our Place framework.

Food Safety Training (or willingness to undertake).
